IOC started in 1998 as a one-man project with Andy LaPlegua. Sebastian Komor joined in as a live member at the same time and became a full member in March 2000. Jon Holm joined in as a live member for 6 months in November 1999 and he was replaced with Christian Lund (from EnRoute) in May 2000. Sebastian and Andy were already playing together in an other project called sector9 (now called Moonitor), since 1996. Both Sebastian and Andy have also been producing music in different projects; Melt, MRC, Lash Out, Helheim, Plastic Life and more.
